SAUT Overview
SAUT Online Application System 2023/2024: St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) was established in 1998. It is the successor of the Nyegezi Social Training Institute (NSTI) founded in 1960 by the Catholic White Fathers (currently known as the Missionaries of Africa). This was under the initiative of Bishop Joseph Blomjous of the Mwanza Diocese.
The University extends to over 600 acres in the Nyegezi- Malimbe area 10 km south of Mwanza City. It lies 4 km off the Mwanza- Shinyanga road on the shores of Lake Victoria. As part of Tanzania’s central highlands (1140 m above the sea level), the area to the south of Lake Victoria is noted for its moderate temperatures. Mwanza can be reached from other parts of Tanzania and East Africa by train, air, ferry and highways.
The St. Augustine University of Tanzania, SAUT admission 2023/2024 period has come; this is one of the most essential times of the year to students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies at the St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT).
The St. Augustine University of Tanzania invites applications for admission from qualified candidates into Undergraduate Programmes for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. In this academic year, the University will offer a total of 102 Undergraduate Degree Programmes.
All requisite information and guidelines to assist in the application stages are provided from the respective Instructions tab. i.e., UNDERGRADUATE tab for those applying for Certificates, Diplomas and Bachelor Degrees.
Applicants are reminded to register their names as they appear in Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) and Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSEE) including index numbers when prompted.

This is a three-year programme which challenges students to examine the responsibilities of the accountants and other business professionals in the contemporary society..
Admission Requirements
Minimum Entry Qualifications:
- Candidates must be holders of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E) with at least two principle passes with a total of 4.0 points in the relevant subjects.
OR - Holders of a relevant Diploma of at least second class standing or a minimum GPA of 3.0 (NTA Level 6) from a recognized institution.
- A concept note that shall be evaluated and approved by experts in the relevant field of study.
Undergraduate applicants with foreign certificates are required to first present their certificates to the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for verification at: www.necta.go.tz. NECTA will issue them letters showing equivalence numbers and grades. Applicants with equivalent qualifications (e.g., holders of diplomas and certificates) are advised to obtain an award verification number (AVN) from the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) at
