Secretarial Examinations

The Institute sets national standards and conducts secretarial grading examinations. The conduct of this examination is backed by a Legislative Instrument numbered 981 of 1974. These examinations are held twice every year.

Secretarial Examinations

GRADE ELIGIBILITY CONTENT MONTHS OF EXAMS
Typist Basic Education Certificate (BECE); or Two (2) years Senior Secondary School Education; or a minimum of two (2) years Business/Secretarial training. Typewriting (40WPM), English Language, Office Procedures May, November
Stenographer Typist Certificate; or At least four (4) credits including English Language of GCE “O” Level/West African School Certificate; or At least five (5) passes including English Language at (Grade D) of SSSCE.
