Secretarial Examinations
Table of Contents
The Institute sets national standards and conducts secretarial grading examinations. The conduct of this examination is backed by a Legislative Instrument numbered 981 of 1974. These examinations are held twice every year.

Stenographer Secretary |
Stenographer Secretary; or Diploma in Business Studies (DBS-Secretarial Option); or RSA (Royal Society of Arts) Stage II; or General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) with passes in Shorthand, Typewriting, Office Procedures and English Language; plus two (2 ) years post qualification experience. | Typewriting (50 WPM), Shorthand (100 WPM), Business Communication and Secretarial Duties | May, November

Private Secretary |
Stenographer Secretary Certificate plus a minimum of a two (2) years post-qualification experience; or RSA (Royal Society of Arts) Stage III; or Ghana Commercial Examination Stage III; or General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) with passes in Shorthand, Typewriting, Office Procedures and English Language plus two (2) years post-qualification experience. | Typewriting (60 WPM), Shorthand (120 WPM), Business Communication, Secretarial Practice and General Paper | May, November |
