The academic qualification you would get at the end of Grade 12 varies by country, but in many countries including South Africa, it is the National Senior Certificate (NSC). The NSC is the culmination of the General Education and Training (GET) and Further Education and Training (FET) phases of the South African education system. It is awarded to students who have successfully completed their Grade 12 year and have passed the required number of subjects, including a minimum of one official language and four other designated subjects. The NSC is recognized by universities and other tertiary institutions in South Africa, as well as by many international institutions.
