Prof. MKENDA: LOAN APPLICANTS 2022-2023 READ GUIDE
Minister of Education, Science and Technology Prof. Adolf Mkenda has urged applicants for education loans for the year 2022/2023 to read and adhere to the ‘Loan Guide for 2022/2023’ to submit applications on the side.
Prof. Mkenda made the remarks at a brief inauguration ceremony held at the HESLB offices in Dar es Salaam and attended by the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Prof. James Mdoe, Chairman of the HESLB Board of Directors Prof. Dihenga and other HESLB stakeholders.
Prof. Mkenda said: “From today (Tuesday, July 12), this guide will be available on the HESLB website (www.heslb.go.tz) and the Ministry’s website (www.moe.go.tz) in both Kiswahili and English and English. . … And give applicants the opportunity to read it. The online loan application window is expected to open on July 19 to September 30, 2022, ”he said.
“The loan application window for the 2022/2023 academic year will be open for 70 days from July 19 to September 30 this year, so we urge applicant students to read the guide before applying for a loan as it specifies the qualifications, requirements and applicants’ request. . loan, ”said Prof. Mkenda.
Commenting on the occasion, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. James Mdoe has reminded loan applicants the training contained in the guide to the challenges that arise for applicants.
“Experience shows that applicant students do not adhere to procedures when applying. We urge you to adhere to the guidelines. During the application window there have been many challenges facing applicants ”, said Prof. Mdoe.
HESLB CEO, Abdul-Razaq Badru, said that every July, HESLB will receive loan applications for the following academic year with a detailed description of the credentials and procedures for credit planning for the relevant year.
“The manual has been finalized and approved by the Board of Directors. Starting next week, we will start public education programs through radio, television, meetings at JKT camps and social media, ”said Badru.
In the academic year 2022/2023, the Government has allocated TZS 573 billion for loans and scholarships for higher education students in the country.
