Simba Sports Club famously known as “Wekundu wa msimbazi” is a Tanzanian football club based in Msimbazi Street, Kariakoo,While the corporate office found in 2nd floor Diamond Plaza, Mirambo St. & Samora Av. posta, Dar es Salaam,The club’s training center known as Mo Simba Arena is located just outside the city centre in Bunju. The club’s home games are played at two stadiums, Benjamin William Mkapa Stadium and National Stadium. Simba Sports Club is one of the two biggest football clubs in Tanzania, their arch-rivals being the Young Africans. The club had several names during its history. When founded in 1936, the club was called Queens. The name was later changed to Eagles and subsequently changed to Sunderland. In 1971, the club changed its name to Simba (a Swahili word for “Lion”).
